Azamara Cruise Types

Azamara Cruises

Dining

Azamara Cruises dining offers the fantastic cuisine that you could expect from a 5-star cruise line, with the added bonus of being in an informal, club atmosphere more akin to a country manor than a cruise liner. The cuisine on offer gives the perfect balance of the typical cruise line dining room, casual venues and, of course, specialty dining thanks to the steakhouse Prime C.

Dining information:

  • Open seating in the main dining room, offering the ultimate flexibility.
  • Informal, but smart casual dress code, such as golf shirts, trousers, casual dress, skirts and jackets.
  • Speciality restaurants included in the cruise fare for suite guests, $25 cover charge for other guests.
  • Complimentary, round-the-clock room service.

Where Azamara Cruises stand out is in the fact that you can eat in the main restaurant in your favourite chinos, as opposed to digging out your dinner suit. In addition, if you are staying in a suite, the specialty restaurants are included in the cruise fare while for everyone else there is a small cover charge.

Included dining venues

Whether you fancy a gastronomic treat or a hamburger hot off the grill, there is plenty of choice onboard these luxurious, yet informal ships.

  • The Windows Café- The Windows Café is the main casual dining restaurant onboard Azamara Cruises' ships. Open for most of the day guests will find made-to-order breakfasts and a superb variety of lunch and dinner options. There are often fresh salads, sushi and a carving station, followed by sumptuous desserts.
  • Pool Grill- offering made-to-order fish kebabs, burgers, fries and salad from 11am to 6pm.
  • Discoveries Restaurant- the Discoveries restaurant is the most formal of Azamara Cruises' main dining options, but that still doesn't mean you have to dig out your dickie bow and dinner suit as only a smart-casual dress code is expected. Though the atmosphere is more relaxed, that doesn't mean the service or quality of food is. The cuisine is filled with classic dinner favourites, though given a little twist, such as filet mignon served with a black truffle sauce. There is also open dining, meaning you can eat at your leisure each day without worrying about missing your seating or holding up your table.

Speciality dining venues

Azamara Cruises also have a couple of fantastic specialty restaurants, available for a small cover charge, offering more variety to your dining options.

  • Prime C- Prime C is the cruise line’s steakhouse, set in a relaxed atmosphere with rich autumn colours in the wood panelled dining room. The menu offers crab cakes with remoulade, lobster bisque, wedge salad with bacon and blue cheese, and of course, steaks where you can choose the cut that suits your mood.
  • Aqualina- Azamara's Mediterranean venue, offering a soothing background of blue and white décor and magnificent ocean views. The menu includes wonderful fare from seafood bouillabaisse, lobster-asparagus salad, and wild mushrooms with parmesan and white truffle cream starters to seafood paella with saffron couscous, black truffle and mushroom risotto, seared duck breast and rack of lamb for the mains.
